What Is EICMA?
The Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori (EICMA), known globally as the Milan Motorcycle Show, stands as the most influential trade event in the motorcycle and two-wheeler industry.

About EICMA
Since its debut in 1914, EICMA has been the beating heart of innovation for two-wheeled vehicles. Building on the massive success of EICMA 2025—which hosted 734 exhibitors, over 2,000 brands from 50 countries, and more than 43,000 trade visitors—the exhibition remains an essential annual gathering for global industry leaders.

Two-Wheeler Industry Outlook
The global two-wheeler market continues its strong upward trajectory. Valued at $170.7 billion USD in 2025, the market is projected to reach $179.7 billion in 2026 and expand to $285.6 billion by 2035. Much of this growth is driven by rapid urbanization and an increasing demand for practical, budget-friendly transportation in heavily populated cities.
As we move through 2026, several major trends are shaping the direction of the industry. Rising living costs continue to drive buyers toward cost-effective urban transport solutions. Simultaneously, the market is seeing a rapid acceleration in electric mobility, with e-scooters and electric motorcycles expanding their footprint. At the same time, the ongoing growth of e-commerce, last-mile logistics, and shared mobility services is cementing two-wheelers as vital commercial tools for businesses worldwide.

Regional Dynamics: Utility vs. Lifestyle Segments
Consumer purchasing behavior varies significantly by region, creating distinct opportunities across two primary market segments:
In high-growth regions throughout Asia and Latin America, demand is centered around the commuter and utility segment, particularly in the 50–100cc category. Importers and riders in these markets prioritize lightweight, fuel-efficient, and dependable vehicles for daily commuting and delivery work.
In contrast, mature markets in Europe and North America are heavily focused on the premium and lifestyle segments. Buyers choosing cruisers and touring bikes base their decisions on brand heritage, long-distance performance, financing options, and reliable dealer support. Highlighting this sustained demand for premium motorcycles, BMW Motorrad reported global shipments of 202,563 units in 2025.

European Market Overview & The Euro 5+ Transition
Europe remains a vital region for the industry, generating $15.51 billion USD in 2024 with a projected 4.8% annual growth rate through 2035. Key national markets—including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK—saw new registrations rise 10.1% in 2024 to over 1.15 million units. This uptick was driven in part by buyers securing vehicles ahead of the Euro 5+ emissions standards that went into effect on January 1, 2025.
While Euro 5+ raises compliance standards for traditional internal combustion engine manufacturers, it also speeds up model updates and creates exciting opportunities for clean urban mobility. At K-STAR, we are dedicated to helping our trade partners navigate these industry shifts with high-quality, fully compliant spare parts that keep your business moving forward.
